Biblical View of Marriage and the Home

God instituted Marriage in Eden(before the Law)

1.To continue the human race(Gen1:28)

2.For companionship&enjoyment(Gen2:18)

3.To avoid sexual sins(1Cor7;1-6)

4.To show the relationship between Christ and His church(Eph5:22)'

5.God's original purpose: one man and one woman becoming one flesh for one lifetime(only death should break that union)(1Cor7:1-3)

6.Marriage is a physical,emotional and spiritual union for a man and a woman (Matt19:5); it is also a sacred union(Matt19:6)

7.Marriage forms the family with children, and children should be brought to the Lord and be dedicated to Him.(Mark10:13-16)

8.Marriage does not exist in our next life with Christ(Matt22:30)
